15 YEAR OLD VINNY VISCONTI CLAIMS 1st CAREER MODIFIED FEATURE for Visconti Motorsports at The Official Accord Speedway

Accord, NY | June 13, 2017 - Making the big leap from a Slingshot (micro modified) to a full size, DIRTcar Sportsman Modified is tough for any racer, let alone a high school student. But Team Dirt Dog racer Vinny Visconti is also a student of speed and he passed his first big exam last weekend at Accord Speedway in New York.

After several weeks of fighting handling issues, Visconti started on the outside pole of Friday's WRWD Radio Rookie Sportsman A-Main. The car's set up was still a little off at the beginning and Vinny slipped back a few spots. But he got up on the wheel, made some cockpit adjustments and methodically worked his way back to the front to claim his 1st career victory in a big car.

Visconti collected over 50 feature wins and two track championships while running Jr. II karts at Lebanon Valley Speedway then another 20 A-main victories during three years in the Slingshot division. Vinny is a hard working kid who's in the shop every night working on his car and learning how to make it faster.

Look for the Team Dirt Dog / Tommy Faxon Excavation / MRI Heating Service # 9 Sportsman Modified weekly at Accord Speedway and be sure to stop by their souvenir booth in the grandstands to grab some Dirt Dog Gear and help fund their team! All proceeds go directly to Visconti Motorsports.
