Grubaugh Motorsports Wires Field for Top Gun Sprints Victory at Volusia Speedway Park #autismawareness
De Leon Springs, FL | Oct. 28, 2018 - Team Dirt Dog's Brandon Grubaugh took the lead from the pole and never looked back for 25 laps. Through several cautions, Brandon would pull away to quickly open up nearly a half lap lead. Even running out of fuel coming out of turn four on the final lap could not deny Grubaugh this win.
WE WIN AS FAMILY:
You may have noticed the puzzle pieces graphics on the car. Brandon's brother Josh has Autism. Josh is one of those larger than life, charismatic individuals who wears his emotions on his sleeve. What makes this win even sweeter is the beaming pride you can see on Josh's face (holding the trophy). It had been over a year since Brandon's last win and Josh had become increasingly grouchy about the results. After all, Josh is the self proclaimed Crew Chief and personally taught Brandon "...everything he knows about driving a sprint car."
The bottom line is this;
If Josh is happy, everybody happy.
