Winnipeg, MB Canada | June 16, 2017 - Rene Poluyko decided to become a race car driver at the age of 39 and bought a dirt Super Truck. As expected, he learned a bunch of things the hard way during his rookie season but also learned how to be competitive on a tight budget. Then, over the next two years, he shocked people as he won 10 Super Truck features plus the Red River Speedway and Northern Super Truck Series championships!
For 2017, his fourth year behind the wheel, Rene decided he needed a new challenge so he sold the truck and got an A-Mod. And just to keep his options open, he built the car to ensure that it's WISSOTA & IMCA legal with just a tire change.
After a significant career change over the winter, he was forced to get even better at doing more with less money. Now with just a couple of races under his belt in the modified, Poluyko is already chasing down past champions and continues to earn new fans and his "Mr Excitement" nickname with his "hammer down on the high side" style.
