Team Dirt Dog's Lincoln Bath Grabs Top 5 Finish in Kings Royal V

Kingaroy, QLD AU | Feb. 1, 2017 - Stepping up from the Production Sedan ranks to the faster, Modified Sedan division against 70 of the nations best drivers in the biggest race of the year would intimidate most.  But Lincoln Bath wasn't worried as he strapped into the Team Dirt Dog/Macdonald Racing #27 normally driven by Shane Macdonald, who was tapped to drive the #4 FJ Contracting VE Commodore for John and Fiona Benson.  Bath showed poise, skill and speed over the entire three day event and battled for 40 laps to score 4th place in the "$10K to Win" Kings Royal A-Main at Lucas Oil Kingaroy Speedway last Saturday.

Greg Worling has won the Modified Sedan feature, claiming his second Kings Royal event in front of a massive crowd.  Worling started from the fourth row and impressively worked his way forward around the top of the race track to chase down early leaders Mark Raymont and Brett Baxter.  The three then embarked on a 3 way and often 3 wide battle on a brilliantly prepared race track that produced outstanding racing over the three nights.  Once Worling finally got the lead, he was then chased down and caught by Mathew Pascoe who was looking like causing a masssive upset in his one off cameo Modfiied Sedan appearance.  Pascoe and Worling raced side by side for lap until a stoppage on lap 39.  at the restart, the two continued the battle until Pascoe cut down his right rear tyre ending his hopes of a Kings Royal crown.  Worling than streaked away to win his second Kings Royal event in only four years just ahead of Brett Baxter, Rodney Pammenter, Lincoln Bath and Mark Raymont.  The racing was unbeablable all weekend and his feature race was easily the best Kings Royal one yet.

Here are the quick results for the entire weekend including the Monster Cash Raffle winners.
